A home invasion must be absolutely terrifying.
There's nothing funny about coming face to face with an intruder in your home.
If the homeowners had been harmed, it would be impossible to look past that and focus on the intruder's "disguise."
APPLETON -- Police say 35-year-old Aaron Maurice broke into a home on the 1600 block of N. Wilmer Avenue.
The homeowners told police they heard a person whistling in their basement around 4:40 am.
The male resident grabbed a shotgun and turned off the basement lights.
That's when Maurice came up the stairs. Maurice was wearing the man's hat and the woman's jacket. He was also covered in barbecue sauce.
Maurice told the homeowners he was hiding from the government and that his outfit was an urban disguise.
If you're on the lam and you're not sure what to wear, take a tip from Maurice and try his urban disguise.
Don a man's hat, a woman's jacket, and cover yourself in barbecue sauce.
Authorities would never notice someone dressed like that.

This guys is a complete waste of air! He should have been shot by the homeowner and saved us tax payers a lot of money. Hopefully they hang this parasite! He does this all the time. The police should check his house for stolen goods. Thanks for the laughs and keep up the good work Freedom Eden!

Isn't anyone wondering how a man who was covered in sauce got into the house without forced entry or leaving a trail in the first place?
He may have bathed himself in barbecue sauce after he was in the house.
Maurice may have put on his urban disguise when he was already in the basement of the home.

If Maurice is truly ill, I hope he gets treatment and controls his symptoms.
It's possible that Maurice is hurting, but I think the homeowners who woke up at 4:40 AM to an intruder in their basement are hurting as well from the experience.
Having a mental illness isn't license to break into a home.
Assuming he isn't criminally insane, Maurice has to be held accountable for his actions.
He has a record of this. He brags to people how he steals from construction work sites. He put the BBQ sauce on after being in the home as a ploy to get off of this charge due to mentsl illness. He is the one that is mocking the people with true mentsl illnesses. If you knew this guy, you see through the lies and deceit as well. I don't know the guy and all I know about this case is what has been reported in the media.
I have some insider information, I have worked in the treatment with Mr. Maurice and I can assure all of you that he is mentally ill, very grandiose, manic, and delusional. The reason he broke into that house was because he thought someone was chasing him trying to kill him (from the government)
I'm always wary of "anonymous" comments, let alone those claiming to have insider information.
You may be right, though I have no way of determining the validity of your statement.
I worked with this guy and all I have is good things to say about him. When I heard about this I didnt believe it, so then after the facts were laid outto me I just couldnt understand why he would do what he did. My opinion is that he must be mentally sick because the aaron that I knew would not do those actions. I am just amazed and am glad that nobody was seriously hurt.
I am a family member of Aaron and i hate all of this stuff that people are saying about him! Think about it, we had no way of knowing that he was going to have this outbreak and we are still suffering. He is truley a very very good man and i should know. If you dont know someone, you shouldnt say things about them. I still hate it when people recanize him in public and start whispering, pointing and laufing.

Aaron is a great guy - I knew him in HS. He was hot, popular, and a good friend to everyone. Maybe he is having a tough time - don't judge him.
I am the Aaron Maurice in mention. I assure you that I was having what is referred to as a pyschotic episode due to Bi-polar disorder. I've never taken myself to seriously for a laugh at my own expense, but saying I should have been shot crosses the line of decency. I have apologized to the homeowner in court and go about my life as a lawful citizen of our country, and as a Christian serving Christ. I am working on a Masters degree in business and consider this post to be yesterday's news.
