She said "you know" 138 times. That's a lot of "you knows."

Perhaps Caroline is trying to sound like Hillary Clinton. For example, on January 9, 2008, in an interview with Katie Couric, Hillary said "you know" 10 times during a very short exchange.

Of course, 138 times is stunning. I guess she wanted to show that she's more than capable of filling Hillary's seat, you know?

Some outlets are reporting the "you know" count to be 144.

138, 144... Who's counting? Either way, it's embarrassingly high.

UPDATE, December 30, 2008: Caroline Kennedy hosted the Kennedy Center Honors. The event was taped on December 7, and aired on CBS December 30.

Kennedy did not say "you know" when she addressed the audience.

She sounds much more intelligent when she reads from a teleprompter.
