This is my first post about Barack Obama's birth certificate. I haven't touched this story until now.
I figure since the Supreme Court will be examining the case of Obama's birth certificate, the topic isn't too wacko to discuss at this point.

The U.S. Supreme Court will consider Friday whether to take up a lawsuit challenging President-elect Barack Obama's U.S. citizenship, a continuation of a New Jersey case embraced by some opponents of Obama's election.
The meeting of justices will coincide with a vigil by the filer's supporters in Washington on the steps of the nation's highest court.
The suit originally sought to stay the election, and was filed on behalf of Leo Donofrio against New Jersey Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells.
Legal experts say the appeal has little chance of succeeding, despite appearing on the court's schedule. Legal records show it is only the tip of an iceberg of nationwide efforts seeking to derail Obama's election over accusations that he either wasn't born a U.S. citizen or that he later renounced his citizenship in Indonesia.
The Obama campaign has maintained that he was born in Hawaii, has an authentic birth certificate, and is a "natural-born" U.S. citizen. Hawaiian officials agree.
Among those filing lawsuits is Alan Keyes, who lost to Obama in the 2004 Illinois Senate race. Keyes' suit seeks to halt certification of votes in California. Another suit by a Kentucky man seeks to have a federal judge review Obama's original birth certificate, which Hawaiian officials say is locked in a state vault.
Other suits have been filed by Andy Martin, whose case was dismissed in Hawaii, and by an Ohio man whose case also was dismissed. Five more suits, all later dismissed, were filed in Hawaii by a person who is currently suing the "Peoples Association of Human, Animals Conceived God/s and Religions, John McCain [and] USA Govt." The plaintiff previously sought to sue Wikipedia and "All News Media."
The most famous case questioning Obama's citizenship was filed in Pennsylvania in August on behalf of Philip J. Berg and sought to enjoin the Democratic National Committee from nominating Obama. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to accept the case. Earlier, a federal judge rejected it for "lack of standing"—ruling that Berg had no legal right to sue. In cases like this, judges sometimes believe the matter is best left to political institutions, such as the Electoral College or Congress, said legal scholar Eugene Volokh of the University of California at Los Angeles.
There is a band of people who simply refuse to let the Obama birth certificate matter drop.
The Supreme Court isn't going to take up the case of Obama's citizenship, but I doubt that will satisfy the believers that Obama is hiding something.
WorldNetDaily reports that Obama's citizenship status is no longer just a topic of Internet chatter. It's beginning to be addressed by some media outlets.
Pravda has been particularly aggressive in its coverage.
Questions about Obama's citizenship status are spreading like wildfire on the Internet, and some media outlets are beginning to run stories on the issue.
Even the Russian online newspaper Pravda featured a column about "the man with no visible past."
"Barry Sotero, AKA Barack Obama, along with the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission have successfully ignored a Federal Lawsuit asking him to produce a valid Birth Certificate," the articles states. "When the time to respond to that lawsuit expired, under Federal Court Rules, they all admitted that he was not a citizen of The United States of America and deemed to have committed fraud. A normal man would have been found to have admitted he was not a U.S. citizen."
While Pravda acknowledges that Obama is praised for his way with words, it warns, "Every con man walking free or in jail is an articulate speaker. Who would give their trust to a man who could not use the right words to convince his targets to trust him? Articulate speaking is no way to judge or rate the integrity of a person."
The writer said every con man sells a "dream," pushes a "greed button," stresses "urgency" – and it claims Americans fell for a con man.
"Obama sold the dream of hope and change so desperately wanted by the American voters. He pushed the greed button by promising to take from the rich to give to the poor. And he stressed urgency by himself and his wife telling voters to vote early."
Pravda explains that Obama's "certificate of birth" is not a birth certificate, but a certification of live birth that any foreigner can acquire by applying for one in the state's vital records department, regardless of where the baby was born.
"Barack Obama may just win his place in history as the greatest con man of all time," it said. "A hundred million people believed him and spent 600 million dollars to get him 'elected' to the highest office in America, without ever knowing if he is or is not eligible to even run as an American citizen. It is either amazing that he will pull it off or it is amazing that so many millions of people believed him."
That's rather in-your-face, isn't it?
WorldNetDaily assembles a list of links from other media outlets reporting on the issue.
The Chicago Tribune published a news article about Robert L. Schultz, chairman of the We The People Foundation, after he ran a full-page ad in the newspaper demanding Obama produce documents proving he is eligible for office. However, the writer attempted to debunk Schultz's claims paragraph by paragraph.
A Chicago Sun-Times columnist accused the We The People Foundation of having "money to throw away" for posting an "inflammatory ad" in the Chicago Tribune.
NBC Chicago's website led its story with the following statement: "Critics continue to invest in ads to convince Americans that he is not one of theirs."
Also, the Kansas City Star featured a news article claiming "legions of anti-Obama bloggers" have filed lawsuits claiming Obama is constitutionally ineligible to be president.
The Star's story said "skeptics" believe there are several "co-conspirators" in the "tangled web of conspiracy and silence," including election officials who put candidates' name on ballots, judges who throw out lawsuits, mainstream media, Obama's family and Hawaiian authorities.
Even AOL News' blog featured a "Q&A with Obama birth certificate doubters," while another entry accused the We The People Foundation of being part of "the cult of Barack Obama's birth certificate."
Here's where it gets a little interesting:
However, amid skeptical reports, the New American reported, "This story has gained credence, separating it from Internet rumors, because Obama has reputedly hired three law firms (firms, not lawyers) to make sure that no one gets access to his birth records in Hawaii or his college transcripts from Occidental College and Harvard."
It makes sense that Obama would hire lawyers to manage the stack of suits that have been filed.
One certainly can't assume that because Obama has a legal team of three firms to work on the issues related to his birth certificate that he's not eligible to be president of the United States.
Not guilty people need legal representation, too.
Others have said this, and I agree: Why doesn't Obama release his birth certificate?
If he has nothing to hide, and I don't think that he does, why not put this lame story to rest?
Officials should bring the damn thing out of that locked state vault in Hawaii. It would be so easy.
Obama should make his original birth certificate available. That would save a lot of time and money and end this goofy distraction.

Folks, this is NOT rocket science.
Since the Constitution’s Article II requires our President to be a “natural born citizen” (not merely a “citizen” as allowed for those living when the Constitution was enacted), meaning both parents were US “citizens” when the child was born (altho parents need not be “natural born” citizens), there’s NO WAY Obama can be President — regardless of being born in Kenya OR Hawaii — that is, to be “natural born citizen” (as opposed to being a “citizen”) being born on American soil is insufficient unless both parents are “citizens”. Obama’s dad was NOT an American citizen. He was a citizen of the UK (administering Kenya at the time).
Bottom line, the questions of (1) the birth certificate, (2) where Obama was born, and (3) whether Obama was a "citizen" of the US, all miss the mark. The issue before the Supreme Court is "natural born citizen" of the US, NOT "citizen" of the US. Under the Constitution, a Senator or House Member, for example, need only be a "citizen", but a President, uniquely, must be a "natural born citizen".
Obama is not. Case closed.
Well written..after all is said and done the bottom line is why not just produce the goofy document and get it over. I certainly have done it many time in my life.
There's no question that Obama should produce the original document.
The longer Obama dodges doing that I'm becoming more and more suspicious.

I've needed to show my birth certificate for things much less important than being president of the United States.
I just saw Nancy Pelosi's quote "hold us accountable" DNC, Obama Birth Certificate issues/mysteries ???. Why not have Nancy ask him and then publish the results. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Pravda got the story correct and the "free" press in America blew it.
The liberal illuminati has enough power that even if it is the case that he isn't a citizen, he'll become president.
Have any of you bothered doing a simple Google search for Obama's birth certificate? If you did, you'd be able to find it in about 15 seconds, so the notion that he hasn't posted his birth certificate is bogus. I mentioned this to a friend of mine who is convinced that Obama isn't a citizen, he told me it doesn't look like a birth certificate to him, but it looks very similar to the one the Commonwealth of Kentucky recently issued to me. As for Obama releasing his original birth certificate, I wonder if he can actually obtain that copy himself. I have received several different birth certificates over my lifetime, and I have never received my original copy.
As for the phrase "citizens of the United States" means both parents needed to be citizens, have you actually read the Constitution? They use the term "citizens" throughout rather than "a citizen." For instance, check out the wording for the 11th Amendment:
The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.
Now, if I were to take this in the same vein as someone who interpreted the phrase governing citizenship, the Constitution merely banned 2 or more people from using the Federal Courts to sue another state, but that it is perfectly legal for a single person to use the federal court to sue another state. Now does anyone honestly think that's what this amendment states, and yet this is what the Obama birth certificate conspiracy people are claiming. Of course, they have to say this because if they were willing to admit that Obama's citizenship only hinged on one of this parents being an American, then where Obama was born would be irrelevant

Commentary on University Emails:
For the BHO II Hawaiian Aug 4 1961 COLB to be accurate the following improbable events needed to occur:
1 month after starting classes, Stanley Ann Dunham, Barack’s mom, at age 17, got pregnant by the only black African man on the entire chain of Hawaiian islands.
2 months after getting pregnant, she drops out of college.
3 months after getting pregnant, she marries BHO Sr.
10 months after her first day at the U of HI, she delivers BHO II and immediately leaves her parents, her new husband, and her home, to fly alone with a newborn 2800 miles to Seattle to start college at the U of W.
Stanley Ann Dunham does not return to Hawaii until AFTER BHO Sr left the islands for Harvard.
This is an implausible series of events made even more nefarious because Obama II in his 2 bio books never mentions his mom left Hawaii when she was married to BHO Sr, nor does he mention she was in Washington State during this time.
Barack’s sister was born in Indonesia, and has a COLB from Hawaii like Obama II. She is NOT a “Natural Born Citizen” of the USA as required by the Constitution to become president…and Obama probably isn’t either.
I want to start by saying I would personally have voted for Obama for President (long story but I can't vote). I have seen a few assumptions that IF (I personally feel nothing will come of these Supreme Court cases) Obama was to be found "not to be a natural citizen" that Biden would become the President...BUT, if Obama is found to NOT be a natural citizen then that would make him ineligible for the Presidency then would that not make his choice for VP(Biden) become void? At this point Bush will still be in the presidency well into June (my understanding is there has been a presidency that has run past the Jan. 20 inauguration and went well into March). Remember people there are lots of agendas out there and who is to say (conspiracy alert) that a 30 year plan wasn't started on September 11, 1991 when Bush Sr. gave his famous NWO speech about a one world government, followed by a attack on American soil on September 11, 2001 (a pattern is emerging) that gave the president a chance to pass laws taking away many of the rights established by our Bill of Rights (not going into it here but search for yourself the Executive Orders signed by Bush since 911 and lets not get into the Patriot attack ...I mean Act[submitted, read, and agreed upon hours before the vote, resubmitted with huge differences, giving no time for ANYONE to have read it before signing it]) and when we are finally ready to be rid of Bush we start hearing about ineligibility of Obama which was declined by the Supreme Court months ago only to be resubmitted and to be heard on the 9th and 16th mere days before the official Inauguration. Remember 40 of our 43 Presidents have been Freemasons (more research ... aren't I a stinker) which simply CAN'T be a coincidence. Now realize Bush signed a proposal for 20,000 military troops to "police" our country in fear of riots from our "emerging depression" which will be in place in each state before the inauguration (which may not happen... I still think...aww neva mind) Obama not being "allowed" to be president will be turned on the government and "whites" who are of course ALL racist and against a African-"American" becoming President which will of course cause rioting by lets call them "Obamaites" fires will rage across our country, people(whites) being murdered in the streets total civil unrest which will "force" (by choice) Bush to call upon Marshall Law to enforce the turmoil in each state. So remember the agendas of "others" are far more insidious than YOU may think and don't let it come to this...End conspiracy theory. Don't you find it a coincidence that both McCain and Obama both had this ineligibility claim so no matter who would have won there would be this doubt that would of course lead to Bush remaining in office longer than he deserves (well we can't take the last eight years back but we can stop Bush from retaining the Presidency)

...so the "malarke" has NOT been thrown out the door ... YET.
Everyone I see states that Obama HAS submitted the "proper form of certification to become the next President" however posting the documentation to a website does not constitute proper delivery of documentation. They say the document that was posted has been verified by the Hawaiian authorities but I've read the article many times and have never seen that they said he was born in Hawaii just that the form (certification and not certificate) they sent was authentic. The form was a certification (does not offer substantial proof of where he was born)and not a certificate (does offer the proof needed to establish he is a "natural born citizen)which are totally different forms. I've seen it stated that this form is adequate for identification for becoming the next President. The question then is if he didn't have this documentation and had to have it resent then how did he show proper forms for identification as proof that he was eligible for the Presidency to begin with. People have also stated that because he was Senator this "proves" he must have showed his documentation then but one does not need to prove being a "natural citizen" to become a Senator (being a natural citizen is not required to be a Senator but IS to be President)
The only way to resolve this issue is to have the People of the US ask Obama Straight out. How about a campaign mail out of postcards to the White House with the simple Question "Why not produce the long form of your Birth Certificate and settle the issue?" or "Is your Kenyan Grandmother who says your were born in Kenya a liar? Then put the line The American People are asking for the transparency you promised in the election.
Then see what Obama does.
