Oh, God. This is a nightmare.
Barack Obama has to back off, shut up, get out of the way.
He's flailing around, contradicting himself. He's been in office for a month and look what's happened to the stock market. Obviously, investors don't have faith in Obama's proposals.
Smart people.
NEW YORK -- Urging strict future restraint even as current spending soars, President Barack Obama pledged on Monday to dramatically slash the skyrocketing annual budget deficit as he started to dole out the record $787 billion economic stimulus package he signed last week.
"If we confront this crisis without also confronting the deficits that helped cause it, we risk sinking into another crisis down the road," the president warned, promising to cut the yearly deficit in half by the end of his four-year term. "We cannot simply spend as we please and defer the consequences."
HOW CAN OBAMA TALK ABOUT CONFRONTING DEFICITS WHEN HE AND THE DEMOCRATS JUST SLAPPED AMERICANS WITH THAT MONSTER OF A SO-CALLED STIMULUS BILL?
I am beginning to think we are facing a real economic catastrophe, but not the one Obama's been predicting.
Obama IS the catastrophe. It's him. It's the Democrats. It's their promises to raise taxes and nationalize. They have to back off now.
If Obama would just shut up, or better yet, embrace tax cuts to encourage business, this free fall might stop.
Every day it gets worse and worse. We've lost 12 years of growth. The market is at 1997 levels. 1997!
Those were the good old days. The Packers had just won the Super Bowl. Yes, good times, good times.
What will tomorrow bring? Will the Dow slip below 7000?
Oh, God. This is awful. I have to think happy thoughts.
Super Bowl Champions! Super Bowl Champions! Super Bowl Champions!

Bush destroyed our economy, it is not going to repair overnight. WORST PRESIDENT EVER! So now Obama has to fix it. I think McCain could have as well. It is going to take a long time before the markets recover. Its the job loss, it is the lack of spending, the drop in GDP that are impacting everything. When people with advanced degrees are being laid off because jobs are sent overseas we have major problems.
This is a gloabal crisis, not just the U.S. the other countries and markets have ALL dropped.
Obama is incapable of fixing anything. It'd be interesting seeing exactly what Bush did to destroy the economy. I keep hearing that it is his fault but no evidence to support that position will hold up to any scrutiny.
