American Idol: Obama Screws Up Prime Time -- AGAIN

It was only four short weeks ago that Barack Obama screwed up the Tuesday night prime time lineup when he delivered a televised speech to a joint session of Congress.

Now, Obama has decided to take over TV on Tuesday night again with a televised news conference.

I want to watch American Idol, not Obama.

Why does he have to do this lame exercise on Tuesdays?

Doesn't he know that he's pissing people off?

I think FOX shouldn't carry the news conference. It would be a smart counterprogramming move.

Instead, FOX can offer viewers the opportunity to watch singing idols rather than the idol the media are propping up in the White House.

As far as ratings go, I think Idol would crush Obama. I strongly urge FOX to give the people what they want -- NOT an Obama news conference.

If Obama is going to keep screwing up Idol night, I would at least like to see an American Idol style panel of judges rating Obama's answers.

That would be kind of fun.

After Obama's performance, the Simon-type judge would say:

"That was horrific. It was self-indulgent. It was rubbish. It was not as good as you think it was. And I hate what you're wearing. Sorry."

I forgot to add: "Lots of people are throwing their television sets out the window at this point."

I agree totally. NCIS, Biggest Loser, American Idol, all have 8 pm timeslots, and are tops in the ratings. So, not only are Idol fans pissed off. They're grabbing the biggest night of TV viewing. No accident, I'm sure that Fox network is not a fave of the administration, and it is their number 1 ratings grabber.

Obama wants to seize firms. He's seizing Tuesday night television.

Tuesday night TV viewers unite!

Obama, don't mess with Tuesday.
