Obama Talks to Turkish Students

MSNBC reports:

April 7: President Barack Obama tells Turkish university students that despite its flaws, the U.S. is prepared for a "new chapter in American engagement."

Again, Obama apologizes for America.

And again, Obama emphasizes his Muslim heritage.

BARACK OBAMA: America, like every other nation, has made mistakes and has its flaws. But for more than two centuries, we have strived at great cost and sacrifice to form a more perfect union, to seek with other nations a more hopeful world....

We're also a country of different backgrounds and races and religions that have come together around a set of shared ideals. And we are still a place where anybody has a chance to make it if they try. If that wasn't true, then somebody named Barack Hussein Obama would not be elected president of the United States of America.

Obama loves using his middle name when he's on foreign soil. I want him to do the same in this country. The fact that he hasn't suggests that he believes Americans are bigots. It's weird. It's not like we aren't informed about what he's saying abroad.

Obama talks about pursuing a new partnership with Muslims to create a more hopeful world "than the one we found."

"The one we found." There he goes again, talking about his inheritance.

It's insulting to both the Bush administration and the people of America for Obama to suggest that we have been at war with Muslims and that we haven't sought a mutually respectful relationship.

That's entirely untrue.

We've been at war with Islamic extremism, not Islam. President Bush always made that distinction very clear, from the first days after the 9/11 attacks.

I'm so sick of Obama slamming the U.S. and reiterating the lies of our detractors.
