Today is National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.
Hundreds of thousands of teens nationwide are expected to participate in the eighth annual National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy on May 6, 2009. The purpose of the National Day is straightforward. Too many teens still think “It can’t happen to me.” The National Day helps teens understand that it can happen to them and that they need to think seriously about what they would do in the moment.
Bristol Palin was on Good Morning America today to promote a new abstinence campaign.
She was joined by Neil Cole, founder of the Candie's Foundation.
[Cole] said the company, which manufactures shoes marketed to teens, wanted to use that relationship to help prevent teen pregnancy.
"Just because you're wearing high-heeled sexy shoes doesn't mean you should have a baby," he said.
Video.
Naturally, Bristol Palin is being criticized by the Leftists for promoting abstinence.
I don't know why they are so hostile and speak so hatefully when it comes to offering abstinence as a way to prevent teen pregnancy.
It is an option. It's not the only option, but it is an option.
