Milwaukee Serial Killer: News Conference

Milwaukee has another serial killer.

So far, this killer hasn't been linked to as many homicides as Milwaukee's most famous serial killer, cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer. But this killer has been active for more than twenty years, longer than Dahmer.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

A Milwaukee police spokeswoman has confirmed a DNA link between a suspected serial killer and a seventh woman murdered in Milwaukee.

Department spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz Tuesday morning said the State Crime Lab has linked the suspect's DNA to Florence McCormick, a slain prostitute who was found dead April 24, 1995 on Milwaukee's north side.

...On Monday, authorities disclosed they had found the same DNA on five slain prostitutes and a teenage runaway. The suspect is at large. Like the five other older victims, McCormick was African-American.

More DNA samples are being tested as the investigation continues.

Schwartz said investigators have been receiving tips about other possible connections to the suspected serial killer on their tip line. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (414) 935-1212.
