Health Care Plan: Fines and Penalties and Incentives

Don't think that the proposal to impose fines on businesses that don't comply with the demands of the health care legislation are tough.

Actually, the fines are an INCENTIVE to push businesses to adopt the government-run plan.

From the New Jersey Star-Ledger:

[A] separate bill approved by a U.S. Senate committee yesterday calls on companies with more than 25 employees to offer health insurance or pay a $750 annual fee per full-time employee.

The $750 penalty is dramatically cheaper than the cost of offering a full-time employee health insurance.

What kind of penalty is that? It's not even a slap on the wrist. The penalty shouldn't be less than the cost of offering insurance.

It's encourages employers to abandon their current coverage for employees or not offer any coverage at all.

That delivers more Americans into the hands of the disastrous government-run rationed care plan.
