Donessa Davis was the victim of a brutal assault, allegedly by his wife and lovers.
In addition to being a victim, Davis is also a victimzer.
He betrayed and used women. There's more.
Now, it's been revealed that Davis' infidelity wasn't his only misdeed.
He has a disturbing history of abuse against women and children.
From the Appleton Post-Cresent:
A man who authorities say was attacked by four women seeking revenge because he was a philanderer beat the child who told his wife he was cheating, court documents said.
A criminal complaint filed Thursday also said Donessa T. Davis of Fond du Lac threatened to kill his estranged wife, who is charged in the attack on him.
Investigators say he looked into taking out a $1 million life insurance policy on her, and told someone of a plan to either have a sharpshooter kill her or to run her off the road and then "bash her head in with a rock" while she was on her newspaper delivery route.
When told the crash could injure or kill his daughter, he reportedly told the friend, "It's OK. I have two."
The new charges accuse Davis, 36, with felony child abuse and misdemeanor counts of theft, unlawful use of a telephone and making threats with obscenities and with harassment with the threat of death. The charges carry a maximum penalty of seven years, nine months in jail and prison.
The complaints concern actions from July 2-31. Davis' wife, Tracy Hood-Davis, told police she was reporting the threats and abuse because Davis' actions had been escalating.
...Davis' wife told Fond du Lac police Davis has not lived with her since September, but had been staying in motels or with other women under an agreement that other women would not be present when he had visitation with his children.
But one child returned home with painted nails and told her mother a female friend of Davis' had painted them.
When she saw the child after that, the 8-year-old had been beaten and had a swollen eye and a knot on the head.
Police said Davis also took an urn with his wife's father's ashes from her home, and threatened to pour a cup of the ashes out each hour she did not call him.
Hood-Davis told police she and her children had been staying at a different residence lately because they were afraid to be home, and also had discovered three loosened lug nuts on her car.
The complaint said she had received about 50 phone calls and text messages from Davis.
...Davis has a history of allegations of violence against children and women.
The state Court of Appeals has ordered a Fond du Lac County court to dismiss a 3-year-old charge against him of repeated sexual assault of a child. The dismissal was ordered after witnesses did not appear at the trial, which prompted the judge to say it is "a valid inference" that Davis influenced the witnesses to skip the proceedings. He faced 40 years in prison if convicted of the sexual assault.
Online court records show Waukesha County courts issued two-year domestic abuse restraining orders against Davis in 1998, 2000 and 2002 at the request of a woman, who is now 33 and living in another county.
Davis also was convicted of misdemeanor battery in 1998 and sentenced to 30 days in jail and one year of probation. Additionally, he was ordered in 2002 to pay child support to Tracy Hood-Davis.
Davis' history doesn't change the fact that the women allegedly assaulted him.
However, it does make clear that he's more than a David Duchovny-type sex addict.
The allegations reveal that Davis is allegedly a cruel, heartless, violent man. He's a torturer in his own right.
That in no way excuses what the women are charged with doing to him.
It does shed light on the sort of person Davis is.
It's not pretty.
