In Maureen Dowd's column today, she writes about the plight of women.
She explains why women are so unhappy, "Blue is the New Black."
So am I blue or black? Black and blue?
Dowd writes that women the world over are miserable, with one exception: "The one exception is black women in America, who are a bit happier than they were in 1972, but still not as happy as black men."
Are these African-American women no longer black or are they just less blue?
I'm confused.
I didn't know I was so unhappy.
But then I suppose Joe Wilson didn't know that when he blurted out "You lie!" during Obama's health care speech, he really was saying, "You lie, boy!"
What would I do without Dowd to inform me of my innermost thoughts?
