Charles Krauthammer supports Dick Cheney's defense of the CIA's interrogation techniques.
Video, from Breitbart.
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Look, the liberal position was inherently implausible, that the position was enhanced interrogation, torture if you like, doesn't work. Intuitively, people know that everybody has a breaking point.
Then you get the IG report which tells you in black and white that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed said nothing of interest or importance until he was subjected to the simulated drowning and the sleep deprivation. And then he became a professor on al Qaeda with a chalkboard. And that happened to several others.
And then people have to say, liberals have to say it's a coincidence that he didn't say anything before, and spoke after it? It's a coincidence that there were no attacks in eight years?
Cheney is winning on this because it's intuitively and empirically obvious that these techniques have worked and saved many American lives.

It's a pitchfork and torch moment for the liberal left. They who hate President Bush, who they blame for all things bad (even now). Are demanding their pound of flesh!
With the administration in a shambles and they must shore up their base, which is the far freaky left.
Truth be damned... Better another 9/11 then sweating out information?
"...intuitively..."
Perhaps to you.
"...and empirically obvious..."
That is definitely not true. And with the records sealed, I'm not sure you could show one way or another until they are fully released.
