McChrystal and Obama: Talked ONCE in 70 Days

I think this is stunning. Obama isn't exactly hands-on when it comes to his war in Afghanistan.

On 60 Minutes, General Stanley McChrystal revealed that he has talked to Obama only once in 70 days. ONCE.

From the Washington Times:

The military general credited for capturing Saddam Hussein and killing the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq says he has only spoken to President Obama once since taking command of Afghanistan.

“I’ve talked to the president, since I’ve been here, once on a VTC [video teleconferece],” General Stanley McChrystal told CBS reporter David Martin in a television interview that aired Sunday.

“You’ve talked to him once in 70 days?” Mr. Martin followed up.

“That is correct,” the general replied.

This revelation comes amid the explosive publication of an classified report written by the general that said the war in Afghanistan “will likely result in failure” of more troops are not added next year. Yet, the debate over health care reform continues to dominate Washington’s political discussions.

Former U.S. Ambassador for the United Nations John Bolton said this was indicative of President Obama’s misplaced priorities.

But this war is okay with the Left. It is not a big deal if soldiers die in Afghanistan. Read the Daily KOS, they have backed off the war rhetoric. ***sarcasm**

What a tough time to be a soldier. I personally believe the USA fights way too "nice." To me war should be something so horrific it is the worst possible choice. The way we have hog tied our commanders and handcuffed our soldiers is damn near treason.

When we go into someplace it should be scorched earth. Nothing remaining alive or undemolished. We should make it paramount that we have zero deaths on our side, and 100% on the other.

Ugh!
