Jack Huberman

Why have supposedly reputable journalists and high profile figures in the NFL swallowed Jack Huberman's unsourced drivel?

I guess people are willing to take fiction as fact if it supports their preconceived notions.

Huberman writes a book, 101 People Who Are Really Screwing America: (and Bernard Goldberg is Only #73), and people jumped to embrace its contents without doing any factchecking on their own.

Big, BIG mistake.

It turns out Jack Huberman is a very sloppy author.

He attributed racially charged quotes to Rush Limbaugh that cannot be verified. Huberman provided the basis for the case that Limbaugh is a racist. He gave proof, Limbaugh's own words.

One problem: They aren't Limbaugh's words.

The crazed liberal mob pounced on the fabrications and reported the lies as facts.

It's character assassination, pure and simple.

It's a smear campaign that recalls Ted Kennedy's vile and irresponsible assault on Robert Bork.

While it's perfectly legitimate to hold Limbaugh accountable for his statements, it's a disgrace for supposedly professional journalists to sacrifice their credibility by spreading flat-out lies in order to destroy him.

The lib media, as well as NFL players, owners, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, are behaving like a crazed mob.

Jack Huberman handed them the pitchforks.

Just checked out Huberman's book today. It's meh. Nothing short of republican, christian bashing.

BTW: What's your opinion on Goldberg's original book?

I didn't read it.

However, I would hope that Goldberg didn't fabricate any quotes and carefully sourced his material.
