Conan O'Brien: Bush and Cheney Jokes

Conan O'Brien desperately needs some new material.

He should give some jokes at Obama's expense a try, instead of following the David Letterman model of nonstop bashing of Republicans and Conservatives.

Comedians doing topical humor usually do joke about the person in power. That would be Obama.

Instead, like Letterman, O'Brien is sticking with tired old George Bush and Dick Cheney lines, leaving Obama untouched.

Very unoriginal.

O'Brien did two jokes about Obama's Asian tour. One mocked President Bush's intelligence and the other took a swipe at Vice President Cheney and his Big Oil buddies.

CONAN O'BRIEN: This is big. He just left China, I believe. Earlier today, President Obama took a tour of the Great Wall of China. He said it was, quote, 'magical.' That nice? Yeah. As opposed to two years ago when former President Bush stood at the exact same spot and said, 'Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.'

What else is goin' on? Former Vice President Dick Cheney is in the news. That's right. Dick Cheney slammed President Obama for bowing before the emperor of Japan. Yeah, yeah. Cheney said, 'Come on, it's not like he's the CEO of Exxon.'

We've heard that crap for NINE years.

Enough already. Show a little creativity.
