From WBAY:
As the NFL playoffs move into the divisional rounds, presumably the better officials will be assigned to work those games.
It may be worth noting that none of the four crews that worked the wildcard games will be working this weekend.
That's of small consolation to the Packers fans who feel the officiating crew did not do their team any favors in overtime last Sunday in Arizona.
And more ammunition for those fans came Friday when the league fined Cardinals defensive lineman Bertrand Berry $5,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Aaron Rodgers.
Referee Scott Green, who is supposed to protect the quarterback from hits like that, did not throw a flag on Berry. Instead, he called holding on Daryn Colledge.
Clearly, there was a problem with the officiating last Sunday.
From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
It happened on the Packers' second play from scrimmage in OT, when guard Daryn Colledge was flagged for a hold. If Berry were penalized during the game, the second-and-10 play would have been replayed because of off-setting penalties.
Oh, what might have been!
