Jay Leno: Monologue, January 14 (Video)

Transcript

JAY LENO: Welcome to the new show, "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Off NBC."

Well, in other TV news, hard to believe there is other TV news, Sarah Palin has signed with FOX News to be a correspondent. Well in a statement today, FOX said if Ms. Palin does a good job, they will sign her to a long-term contract. If she doesn't work out, they'll just blame Leno.

As you know with all the controversy going on here at NBC, actually The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien's ratings have gone up. They've gone up. So... YOU'RE WELCOME!

...

And Ricky Gervais is hosting The Golden Globes on Sunday right here on NBC. He said he's really looking forward to it, which is rare -- a host that's happy on NBC. You don't see that anymore.

...

This is a great idea. I wish we had thought of it. Have you seen these segments on Good Morning America called "Your Week in Three Words"? Simple concept: Viewers send in 3-word messages. They're very sweet. Take a look.

A GMA video clip shows messages from viewers with signs like, "First ski trip," and "It's a girl."

Then we see Leno with three cards.

OMG

NBC

WTF?

I'm getting tired of this late night mess. It's so weird.

I wonder what Conan O'Brien's three words would be?

I'm really looking forward to the Winter Olympics.
