I'm glad to hear that Bill Clinton is doing well after undergoing a heart procedure.

Bill Clinton underwent a heart procedure at a New York City hospital Thursday to get two stents implanted after he felt "discomfort in his chest," a representative for the former president said.
The former president, 63, "is in good spirits" after the operation at the Columbia campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital, Clinton lawyer Douglas Band said in a written statement. Clinton underwent the procedure to place the stents in one of his coronary arteries following a visit to his cardiologist, Band said.
"President Clinton ... will continue to focus on the work of his foundation and Haiti's relief and long-term recovery efforts," he said.
Dr. Alan Schwartz, his cardiologist, said there was, "no evidence of a heart attack."
...Schwartz said the former president's prognosis is excellent and he was already up and walking around.
...He said the incident was in no way a result of the former president's lifestyle or diet, adding Clinton is in "excellent condition."
Medical advances really achieve remarkable results. Lives are being extended through procedures that require little recovery time. It's amazing.
I wish President Clinton all the best.
It was scary to hear the news that he was rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
The initial report from ABC News was really not a proud moment for the outlet.
Former President Bill Clinton was rushed to a Manhattan hospital late this afternoon, sources tell ABC News.
Clinton, 63, was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan for a condition related to his heart.
ABC News' chief political correspondent George Stephanopoulos reported that sources said he was taken to the hospital "likely for a stent procedure."
Sources on Capital Hill tell ABC News that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was seen leaving the Oval Office a short time ago and did not seem "too concerned" or "in a rush."
Clinton underwent quadruple bypass surgery at the same hospital where he is now a patient four and a half years ago.
Hillary Clinton "did not seem 'too concerned' or 'in a rush.'"
That sounds terrible.
Her husband with heart disease is rushed to a hospital but she wasn't "too concerned."
Come on.
A bit later, the ABC report was updated to include this sentence:
A friend of the former president's said that he had been suffering from a cold and had been warn out from his recent trip to Haiti.
"WARN out"?
Good grief.
ABC was really having problems.
Later, ABC removed the intended or unintended swipe at Hillary and replaced the "did not seem 'too concerned' or 'in a rush'" with a paragraph that was dramatically different from what was included in the earlier report.
Sources on Capitol Hill tell ABC News that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was seen leaving the Oval Office around the same time that Clinton had been hospitalized. Sources told ABC News that Secretary Clinton was "very concerned when told about the President, given his heart history" and that it made everyone "very nervous."
What a difference!
At first, Hillary wasn't "too concerned" or "in a rush."
Then, Hillary was "very concerned" and "very nervous."
When I read the initial report, I thought it was incredibly inappropriate for ABC to say what it did about Hillary.
Obviously, ABC took steps to make up for its slap at Hillary.
Too late.
