Jon Stewart: Rick Sanchez, Tsunami

CNN's Rick Sanchez had more than a few problems over the weekend when he was covering the breaking news of the earthquake in Chile and the tsunami warnings.

Sanchez can't find Hawaii on a map and he has serious metric system issues.

Jon Stewart was handed this bit on a silver platter. No disrespect to Stewart, but Sanchez, "the Uninformant," was so stunningly goofy that The Daily Show crew probably didn't have to work too hard to mock him.

JON STEWART: 'CNN, the most trusted name in over-caffeinated control freaks.'

See, that's the thing about news in a disaster. You need the information fast and inaccurate.

RICK SANCHEZ: (Pointing to Galapagos Islands) This is Hawaii.

(End clip)

STEWART: That must have been one hell of a tsunami because it seems to have caused Hawaii to become the Galapagos Islands.

SANCHEZ: Nine-meter drop. What does that mean?

By the way, nine meters in English is?

(End clip)

...

STEWART: I just realized something. Rick Sanchez delivers the news like a guy at a party who's doing a lot of coke and traps you in a corner, and explains really intensely how an ant is the strongest animal on earth.
