Fallon: Watch Jimmy with Jimmy Week

Yesterday was the first night of Watch Jimmy with Jimmy Week.

A live stream of Jimmy Fallon in his office with staff members watching the show was on the Internet.

In addition to the video, there were two chats on the page.

It was an interesting interactive venture. However, it was impossible to watch the show and watch the stream of them watching the show. Forget about reading the chat, too. It was sensory overload.

During commercial breaks, they answered a couple of questions; but there really was relatively little communication with the Internet participants due to the time constraints.

Some observations:

---There was a slight delay that was maddening if you tried to watch what was happening on TV and on the stream.

---Team Fallon is a boys club. I think there were two women in the group of about 25.

---What was wrong with Miles? He was so quiet. He looked bored or mad or ill or all of the above.

---It's going to be tough for them to do this for four more nights. I think they'll be completely exhausted by Friday. The final night may be Jimmy alone in his office sleeping on the couch.

You can watch the stream from Monday's viewing party here.

In spite of some problems, I give Late Night with Jimmy Fallon credit for this experiment. They're a really creative, talented group.
