Lady Gaga performed "Alejandro" tonight on American Idol.
It was a taped performance, which was a good thing. The male dancers and Lady Gaga could be edited to make it more family friendly, though that really wasn't possible.
This was not typical Idol stuff.
Given that it was Frank Sinatra week and Harry Connick, Jr. was on the show, there may have been some fans tuning in unfamiliar with Lady Gaga. They maybe were a little put off.
Some of the positions assumed by Lady Gaga and the male dancers were a bit risque for the prime time, preteen crowd.
