What would you say to Obama if you met him?
Luann Haley had the opportunity to meet Obama on Thursday when he was visiting Duff's Famous Chicken Wings in Cheektowaga, New York.
Haley was hardly in awe of the president of the United States. In fact, she wasn't shy or starstruck at all.
From the Buffalo News:
"You're a hottie with a smokin' little body," she told him.
Obama hugged her and reminded her that his wife, Michelle, would be catching the TV footage later. Haley responded: "Michelle, eat your heart out, honey!"
The flirtatious comment was picked up by news organizations around the world within hours, much to Haley's bewilderment and chagrin. "It was me being funny," she said. "I meant no harm by it."
I think it's funny that Haley expressed herself so freely. I believe her when she says she meant no harm by the comment. However, I do think it's telling that she wasn't inhibited by Obama or the office he holds.
She treated him like a soap opera actor making an appearance at a mall opening.
Even funnier is the media's reaction.

REPORTER: And you greet him and you say...
LUANN HALEY: I just said he's a hottie. He's got a smokin' little body.
REPORTER: You didn't!
HALEY: I did. I did.
REPORTER: What the heck were you thinking?
HALEY: I don't know. I don't know. People tell me I should think before I open my mouth.
REPORTER: Mr. Obama took it in stride, even gave her a hug.
Is he firm?
HALEY: I could feel his ribcage. He's gotta put on a few pounds there. He's a little skinny.
What a goofy reporter!
"Is he firm?"
IS HE FIRM??
Good grief.
And Obama seemed to take no offense. Afterward, he greeted all the other patrons with hugs and handshakes.
In the process, they learned a few things about the president: He knows how to work a crowd, he's comfortable with his sex appeal, and he knows a thing or two about the sport of ultimate fighting.
Obama's comfortable with his sex appeal?
