Al Gore and Laurie David

Al Gore had an affair with Laurie David?

I thought Mother Earth was Gore's mistress. I thought Gore's devotion to her is what caused him to drift away from Tipper, like a polar bear on an iceberg.

There may have been more to it than that. Gore may have to deal with a very inconvenient truth.

From New York Magazine:

All morning the Drudge Report has been blaring a siren about a Star story regarding a GORE AFFAIR, which sort of made it seem inevitable that whatever tale came out would be a letdown. Not so! According to the celebrity weekly, Al Gore was having a two-year affair with Laurie David, the environmental-activist ex-wife of Curb Your Enthusiasm star and Seinfeld co-creator Larry David. The ex–Mrs. David split with Larry in 2007 amid reports she was having an affair with the gardener of their Martha's Vineyard summer home. She had then just finished being a producer of Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth. "Al and Laurie went from friends to lovers," a source told Star. "It couldn’t be avoided."

"It couldn't be avoided"?

That's funny. "Couldn't be avoided"?

If the report of this affair is accurate, I'd like to know the carbon footprint of the relationship.
