Obama and Sleeping Kalamazoo Student

Sitting through a commencement address can be so boring.

I had the misfortune of hearing one in May that was torture, and I don't use that word lightly. I wish I had fallen asleep, anything to have been spared the pain of listening to the droning on and on.

Even having the president speak at his own graduation wasn't enough to keep a Kalamazoo Central High School student awake. He may not have been bored. He may have been sleep deprived and just couldn't keep his eyes open.

This student shouldn't feel bad about his video fame. It's a human moment. Sometimes we just can't stay awake.

It's not as if he called for the elimination of Israel and told the Jews to get the hell out of Palestine.

Even Former presidents have been known to nod off while listening to speeches.
