Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni - HELL

Carla Bruni Sarkozy doesn't hesitate to stir things up in a new book.

She quotes Michelle Obama as being very unhappy in her role as first lady of the United States.

Catty Carla Bruni lifts lid on Michelle Obama's 'hellish' job

Michelle Obama thinks being America’s First Lady is ‘hell’, Carla Bruni reveals today in a wildly indiscreet new book.

Miss Bruni reveals that Mrs Obama replied when asked about her position as the U.S. president’s wife: ‘Don’t ask! It’s hell. I can’t stand it!’

Details of the private conversation, which took place at the White House during an official visit by Nicolas Sarkozy last March, emerged in Carla And The Ambitious, a book written in collaboration with Miss Bruni.

Being first lady is hell?

Poor Michelle can't stand it?

Yeah, it's hell taking 40 friends to Spain on vacation.

It's hell to have beaches closed to the public for her private use.

It's hell to jet to New York for a "date night."

It's hell for streets to be cleared when she passes.

It's hell to have taxpayers foot the bill for her extravagances.

What torture!

All those parties at the White House with celebrities falling at her feet; flying around on Air Force One -- it's positively nightmarish!

I do question whether Michelle Obama is being quoted accurately. I hope Carla Bruni is mistaken. I hope Michelle wouldn't be that ungrateful for the many opportunities and the tremendous honor the American people have given her.

It's a privilege to serve as first lady of the United States.

If she does find it hellish, I hope in two short years she's released from her personal hell thanks to the generosity of the American electorate.

Maybe hell is having to sit next to Carla and be compared to her when you look like an angry crone.
