A teenager was recovering Monday morning from a stabbing that happened on a Milwaukee school bus.

This is not a good week for Milwaukee Public Schools.
On Wednesday, Bradley Tech High School was on lockdown because of a fight.
In that incident, it was reported there were no injuries.
Today, a Bay View High School student was stabbed on a school bus.
From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
A 17-year-old Bay View High School student was stabbed three times during a fight on a school bus Friday morning, a spokeswoman for Milwaukee Public Schools said.
The student was taken by ambulance to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, where he is listed in satisfactory condition, MPS spokeswoman Roseann St. Aubin said.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. near N. 36th and W. Burleigh streets when three people boarded the bus and began fighting with the student, who was eventually stabbed twice in the leg and once in the side of his torso, St. Aubin said.
Some of the people who boarded the bus may not be students, St. Aubin said. It was not clear whether they forced their way onto the bus, but they appeared to target the student who was stabbed, she said.
No arrests have been made, but police said they are looking for a specific Bay View student in connection with the stabbing.
About 30 students were on the bus when the incident occurred, but no other injuries were reported, St. Aubin said.
Good Lord.
Thankfully, the victim is in satisfactory condition. This could have been much worse. It easily could have turned out differently, with the victim being stabbed three times.
"STUDENT MURDERED ON SCHOOL BUS"
Without a doubt, that would have been national news, another horrible story putting Milwaukee in the national spotlight, another story highlighting what a dysfunctional mess Milwaukee is.
The victim apparently was the target of the attack. It wasn't a random stabbing. That can't provide much comfort for parents of the other kids on that bus.
I hope they don't blame the bus driver or the company for inadequate security. (Perhaps there should be metal detectors at every bus stop in the city.)
The fault for this incident lies with the thugs.
The reality is Milwaukee is a breeding ground for thugs. Violence spills into the public school system.
