Ed Asner: 9/11 Truther

When it comes to 9/11 conspiracy theories, truther Ed Asner considers himself to be a "preacher," spreading the word, the truth. He's on a mission.

According to Asner, the U.S. government destroyed the World Trade Center and is responsible for the carnage. It was a grand scheme of death and destruction, an inside job perpetrated by the evil Bush administration, not Islamic terrorists.

From Breitbart:

Ed Asner has hardly been shy about his belief that the United States government is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, but whenever fresh audio surfaces of the "Up" star, who is set to return to prime-time television in January, promoting such a detestable theory, it's always worth a listen.

Here he is on Adam Carolla's podcast earlier this week expressing deep paranoia of the U.S. government and a willingness to embrace just about every significant conspiracy theory imaginable.

Here's the audio:

"Oh, Mr. Grant!"

I tolerate a lot of lunacy from the entertainment community. I compartmentalize as best I can and try not to let the radical Leftist views of celebrities bother me when watching them perform on TV and in movies, or listening to their music.

But I draw the line at the 9/11 truther stuff.

It's so sick. It's so despicable.

Yes, truthers are dumb. But I'm not convinced the bulk of them occupy the left. That odd, difficult to place conspiracy element is out there, but if anything, I think they skew right. That's gut level though, and stats might change my mind. It's just that the well educated tend toward liberalism, and they are also averse to quickly glom on to conspiracies.

You think that Bush supporters believed he was behind the 9/11 attacks?

There's something wrong with that picture.

Also, while the "well educated" tend to vote for liberals/Democrats, you should note that the very poorly educated do as well.
