Michael Moore, Obama, Pink Tutu

Michael Moore has a message for Obama: "Take off your pink tutu."

Moore shared his advice when he was a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher.

He also explained that children in America are taught a lie, that it's possible to achieve one's dreams.

Video.

Transcript

MICHAEL MOORE: I, like a lot of people who voted for President Obama, and certainly one of the best days I've had in the last decade was being able to vote for him, but I would like to say to him with all due respect, to please take off your pink tutu because it's time to put on the boxing gloves and go fighting for the people. This has got, this has got to...

BILL MAHER: They're caving in on the Bush tax cuts already.

NORA EPHRON: I know. But why don't middle class people in this country understand that millionaires should pay more taxes?

MAHER: That's the gazillion dollar question.

EPHRON: You know the answer. Tell us why. Why?

MOORE: Well, because the lie that we're fed from the time that we're children is that anyone in America can grow up to be that millionaire.

EPHRON: So in case you ever do you want to...

MOORE: Just in case, you don't want to have the tax rate too high.

MAHER: Right. The estate tax.

MOORE: The death tax - it affects nobody.

MAHER: It affects .2 percent.

EPHRON: Although you know if you die before the end of the year, I don't know if this is relevant, but if you felt like it, there's no inheritance tax.

MAHER: Right.

EPHRON: You have until the 31st of December.

MAHER: There is a big incentive to kill your grandmother.

With all due respect to these flaming liberal elitists, what a load of crap!

Moore is a millionaire many times over. He earned that money. He achieved that success. He didn't inherit it. He wasn't born into it.

How can Moore say that it's a lie to teach kids that anyone in America can become a millionaire? He's living proof it's not a lie.

Maher is living proof.

Obama is living proof.

They sound like such fools yapping about the American Dream being a lie when they've lived it.

They are so out of touch with their own realities.

The class warfare stuff disgusts me. We don't have a class system in this country. There aren't societal limits to people's achievements.

We determine our own destinies.

Rather than telling Obama to take off the pink tutu, put on the boxing gloves, and "fight for the people," meaning redistribute wealth, Moore should be telling people to dream big and work hard.
