Milwaukee: Above Zero Record Streak Ends

For about two years, the temperature in Milwaukee has been above zero. The last time the temperature dipped below zero was in January 2009.

That record streak has come to an end.

The entire state of Wisconsin is under a wind chill advisory.

The coldest air of the season is predicted to hit Wisconsin on Thursday, according to weather forecasters.

The entire state is under a wind chill advisory, with the advisory starting for the Madison area at 8 p.m. Thursday. The cold is expected to continue Friday as well when temperatures are only expected to hit the single digits.

The National Weather Service predicted the cold to spread across the state Thursday, with temperatures expected to drop to near or below zero in the evening. Some locations in northwest Wisconsin were even expected to hit 25 below 0.

It was really cold in Milwaukee last night at around 11:30 PM.

The temperature, not the wind chill, the actual temperature was 50 below zero, according to TMJ4.

That's scary cold! Fifty below zero, according to TMJ4!

On the bright side, the wind chill was only 11 below.
