Tom Crabtree and Scott Walker

Tom Crabtree, tight end for the WORLD CHAMPION Green Bay Packers, has decided to open a can of worms.

He tweets:

@sbiel2 because i dont like to get into politics on Twitter. But i fully support wi unions and i think Gov. Walker is out of his damn mind.

Of course, Crabtree has every right to voice his opinion.

The NFL players are in the middle of their own union struggle so I guess it's not surprising for him to come out against Walker.

However, I don't think he should have tweeted that "Gov. Walker is out of his damn mind." Not very diplomatic. That may tick off some fans.

I think Crabtree may be forgetting that cheeseheads voted for Walker's policies and they voted for Republicans to control both houses of the State Legislature. Better not to get into politics on Twitter.

It has been really strange. The state of Wisconsin was unified in joy over the Packers' Super Bowl XLV victory, such happiness.

And then, BAM!

A week after bringing the Lombardi Trophy home, we are dealing with this mess and all this divisiveness.

I wonder what plan the economic genius Crabtree would propose to manage Wisconsin's budget, since he considers Walker to be "out of his damn mind."

The state is broke, buddy.

Any suggestions?
