Obama and Bullying

Does Obama realize how hypocritical and out of touch he sounds?

What about the bullies in Madison?

What about the death threats and thuggery?

Obama has no comment.

Disgusting.

I do think bullying is a serious problem. There's no excuse for teachers and adults looking the other way when it occurs. Bullying is unacceptable behavior. It's thuggish.

I don't know that Obama should be directing his energies to addressing bullying, but it never hurts for the president to speak out against thugs and encourage civil, appropriate behavior.

The first lady, who introduced the president, also urged adults to set an example by treating others with compassion and respect, and giving each other the benefit of the doubt. "It sends a message to our kids about how they treat others," she said.

Right.

That's exactly the reason Obama should send a message to thugs in Madison.
