WI Senate and Media Coverage

Watching local media coverage of the happenings in Madison, I've heard the same things again and again:

The Republican senators actions were unprecedented.

The Republican senators abused their power.

The Republican senators trampled on democracy.

The Republican senators' move was historic.

I've had enough.

The reality is:
The 14 Democrat senators going AWOL was unprecedented.

The Democrats in the Senate abused their power and shirked their responsibility as legislators when they fled the state.

The AWOL Dems trampled on democracy when they ignored the results of the November 2010 election.

The AWOL Dems' move to ILLINOIS for WEEKS was historic.

What the Democrats did was an affront to democracy.

THEY thwarted the will of the people.

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

There's a majority and a minority. THAT'S WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE.

The Democrats are angry. Fine. Go win some elections.

Winning, duh!

I think it's time for Walker to call in the National Guard... seriously. Enough is enough. I have a son in the National Guard. There is nothing he would like more than to show these clowns exactly what democracy looks like. Like you said, Mary, elections have consequences! What part of that don't these losers (on so many levels) get.

Susan, please thank your son for me. I appreciate his service to our country. And thanks to you for raising him.

I, too, would like to see the National Guard used. The police can't manage it. Someone needs to maintain order.
