Kate Middleton's Dress, Being a Princess (Video)

Kate Middleton wears a wedding dress designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director at Alexander McQueen.

It was lovely -- simple elegance!

Kate Middleton walked down the aisle of Westminster Abbey with her father on Friday to begin her wedding to Prince William.

Prince William and Kate Middleton kissed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to celebrate their wedding.

It looks like a fairy tale, but William and Kate aren't storybook characters.

How can anyone live up to such unrealistic expectations, and exist under constant and ruthless scrutiny?

What strain that would put on a marriage! That's no fairy tale. It's a nightmare.

I hope William and Kate manage to find happiness and fulfillment, sharing life's blessings, as well as its struggles, together. I hope they know the joy that comes with true and lasting love.

If that's the measure of a fairy tale wedding, it's not a fantasy reserved for the very few.

What's it like to be a princess?

It's beautiful.
