Jimmy Fallon: Pink Floyd Week

A couple of times in the past, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has paid tribute to musical artists by devoting a week of performances to their songs.

There was Rolling Stones Week in May of 2010.

In May of 2011, there was Bob Marley Week.

Now, Late Night is staging Pink Floyd Week.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will celebrate the music of Pink Floyd next week with a full week of episodes including interviews with members of the band and performances of their songs by the Shins, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.

Floyd members Nick Mason and Roger Waters will appear individually as guests on the show on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Waters will also perform "In the Flesh" from The Wall with the Foo Fighters on Tuesday night.

The Shins are slated to perform "Breathe" from Dark Side of the Moon on Monday and MGMT will cover the early Floyd track "Lucifer Sam" on Wednesday. Country singer Dierks Bentley will play his version of "Wish You Were Here" on Thursday, and the week will close out with Pearl Jam's performance of the Wall cut "Mother," which was filmed when the band stopped by the Late Night studios earlier this month.

Definitely worth watching.
