This is so bizarre. These protesters are nuts.
Congressman John Lewis, Democrat from Georgia, and a leader of the civil rights movement, was supposed to address the Occupy Wall Street group in Atlanta, but the protesters kept up their weird repetitions, preventing him from speaking.
Eventually, Lewis just left after the group decided not to let him speak.

Are these people racists? What's their problem? Why not let John Lewis speak? I can't believe Obama wants to recruit them. He must be beyond desperate.
These protesters are not representative of the America people. They're wackos, yet Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Big Labor are embracing the Occupy Wall Street loons.
This is such an embarrassment for the Left.

If they show such disrespect for free speech now, what will it be like if they ever get into positions of power?
You right wing pundits just do not get it. This movement is done with the current poltical culture. We are done negotiating, done waiting, they have had their chance.
Now they are accountable. We are taking back the government, ending the corruption, removing monied influence from politics. We consider all politicians complicit in the corrupting of our system either by participation or by their silence.
I find it regrettable that John Lewis did not get to speak because he is one of the very very few politicians that appear to be honestly trying to promote the interest of the U.S. voters and has expressed his frustration with financial influence in congress.
However, most of the protesters do not care what our politicians say anymore.
The idiotic spin conservatives are putting on this demonstrates the absolute cognitive dissonance of the party. The is a popular anti-corruption movement. This is left of center bu has a very very strong ideologically centered population in its ranks.
By alienating and criticizing the protesters you are disparaging the American political center and you are bringing a swift demise to the political relevance of the GOP.
In fact if it were not for the appeal of Ron Paul with many of the protesters you party would be utterly irrelevant to direction we are taking our country.
The media spin calling the protesters "racists" and the absolute incomprehensibly misinformed notion that Obama has any chance whatsoever of "recruiting" the movement shows literally how mindless your information operations campaign is.
This movement has a pretty solid base of former Obama supporters. However, I reiterate. WE ARE DONE WITH THESE POLITICIANS. WE ARE DONE WITH THIS POLITICAL SYSTEM.
However, the right is not alone in its ignorance. Recent comments by Obama and Pelosi that this movement is about jobs also fails to understand the core motivations of the protesters.
Many, in fact the vast majority have jobs. Joblessness in America is only a symptom.
Democrats trying to hijack this movement with speeches about jobs are being dismissed as quickly as the conservative pundits calling us hippies.
This is about a fundamental dysfunction of our system of government and its relationship with the financial industry and international corporations.
It is NOT anti-corporate. It is anti-kleptocracy.
This whole movement is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Most people in their current situation are there because of dicisions in their lives that put them there. Example: A protestor had a sign the read "4 years college, 100K in dept". It’s no ones fault but your own, and maybe your parents whom saved no money for your education that you are in debt. Then you go to college and study basket weaving and now can't find a job! Get real, you have immigrants who come to this country with just the shirt on the backs, work hard and long and become millionaires. This country offers freedom, democracy and ample opportunity for ANYONE to make it! I work for myself, I work so hard the sometimes at the end of the day I can’t even walk. But I get to enjoy the fruits of my labor and take care of my family and that keeps me motivated. You occupy Wall Street and Atlanta crowds need to get your lazy butts of the cold grass and do something constructive! Our system may not be perfect, but it works. Our country is only as good as our people. You want a better country? Like the late Michael Jackson said "start with the man in the mirror"!
