Need to figure out how to manage working with Westown Association re: Weds Markets (3 Wednesdays left)

This is ridiculous.

All this organization and energy could be better spent doing something positive by achieving concrete results to better life for those in need.

This stunt is lame.

Naturally, the Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association wants its members to join in the Occupy Milwaukee protest.

Here's the MTEA's flyer:

Occupy Milwaukee: Join the Movement

On October 15, at 11 a.m., Occupy Milwaukee will hold a rally at Ziedler Park and a march to the Chase Bank in downtown Milwaukee.

The MTEA Executive Board encourages all members to participate.

Since the middle of September, students, retirees, union workers, the unemployed and many others began a movement to resist the out of control economic imbalance. Their message: Enough is enough! These brave souls have decided to Occupy Wall Street in an effort to end the control of the 1% over our political and economic system. Now, Milwaukee joins dozens of other cities around the country in solidarity!

In 2008, the economy of the United States came to a virtual standstill as a result of a financial crisis created by Wall Street bankers and deregulation of laws that kept finance in check since the 1930's. This near depression led to calls from government officials at all levels, from the federal to state to local, for "shared sacrifice". Since then, Americans of all political stripes have realized that our current system and political leaders have not had the tools to fix the mess they have created and the "shared sacrifice" has been a one way street, leaving the poor and middle classes suffering.

Let us all join with those who want to take back our country and march with Occupy Milwaukee this coming Saturday!

Dear Occupiers:

Have fun!

I'll be spending my weekend being productive and enjoying the Brewers and Packers.

I won't be marching around with idiotic signs, chanting idiotic slogans, and demanding hand-outs from my fellow citizens.

I also have no plans to spend any time in a Porta-Potty this weekend.

P.S. I AM THE 99 PERCENT!

Dear protest people: My partner is a cop and will be out "there" watching over "you" to make sure "nothing happens'. Can I have her home safely please? Thank you.
