A few years ago a Soviet social scientist predicted that the US would fracture into several different states. At the time I thought it sounded completely ridiculous.
Nowadays, it doesn't seem quite so silly. I see ignorant people who want to turn our country into the very type of place that millions of people were fleeing from over the past 75 years. It must have been painful for the man who immigrated from the USSR to have to listen to the ramblings of the OWS loons who think that socialism and communism is so wonderful. (Love how the lady says that workers in North Korea are paid a good wage!) I would not be adverse to giving all of these people a few of the east coast states to live in and pursue their socialist wet dream. Let people who believe in limited government and capitalism have their own area too. Wonder which area would prosper more...
The far left seems to truly believe that there is a money fairy that can just take care of everyone. There is no awareness of the benefits of ingenuity, work ethic, capitalism and limited government. Just an irrational belief that everything would be just dandy if we go after the rich.
I do have some shared sentiment with the OWS crowd - big business in bed with big government is a bad combo. That scenario is not capitalism - it is crony capitalism. The solution is to shrink the government and encourage true capitalism.
