This is great.
On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Doors do their version of the theme song from Reading Rainbow.
Jim Morrison really emotes, especially when he sings lines from my beloved Goodnight Moon.
(UPDATE, December 15, 2011: Last night, the November 11, 2011, episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was rerun. The audience was treated to an encore performance of The Doors' version of "Reading Rainbow." Unfortunately, as is clear above, NBC has elected to no longer share the video. Here is the audio. It's better than nothing.)
This is classic Late Night, just great.
The Lizard King's leather pants are quite... impressive.
Whoever came up with the idea to do this is a comic genius.
I'll never hear Reading Rainbow's theme song the same way again.

The Roots played the Reading Rainbow song live. The fake Doors were 3 writers play syncing.
Written by @mikedicenzo and played by @gerardbradford @80miles & @johnwhaskell on drums.
LeVar Burton, of Reading Rainbow, comments:
Hey @jimmyfallon Y'all crushed it!!!
