Obama Sings 'Sweet Home Chicago'

This is getting embarrassing.

One month ago, Obama made his audience swoon when he sang Al Green.

After, the clip of Obama's performance was highlighted during an appearance by Michelle Obama on Jay Leno's Tonight Show.

The White House wanted as many people as possible to hear Obama, the charming crooner.

Forget about not having a job and losing your home. Listen to Obama sing! What a great president! Vote Obama 2012!

Yesterday night at the White House, Obama went back to that well. He sang a solo during a celebration of the blues.

From the Chicago Tribune:

That Al Green tune was just the beginning.

Weeks after President Obama sang a snippet of the soul hit “Let’s Stay Together” during a fundraiser at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, he ventured into the blues Tuesday night.

Maybe he was emboldened by the man who offered him the microphone: Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. Maybe it was because Buddy Guy brought up Al Green, telling the president, “You done started something and you gotta keep it up now.”

Next thing you know, Obama took the mic in hand and crooned, “Come on, baby, don’t you want to go” – twice. He handed off to B.B. King briefly, then tacked on “Sweet Home Chicago” for the finale.

The rollicking blues concert was part of the “In Performance at the White House” series airing on PBS. Previous concerts have featured Motown, Broadway, jazz, country, classical and Latin, the Washington Post reported.

The latest episode with Obama’s star turn was intended to recognize Black History Month. It will be broadcast Monday, the Associated Press reported.

Isn't Obama the best president ever?!?

Wouldn't you love to do karaoke with Obama?

Here's video:

Forget about not having a job and losing your home. Forget about soaring gas prices. The economy sucks. Who cares?

I watched the first song online when afterwords BB King turned the entire thing political by saying he had prayed for Obama for the last two years and wanted him to keep his job. I turned it off immediately. These types of gatherings are supposed to be cultural not political but the classless Obamas have no shame. Meanwhile the USA keeps on paying for Obama's Presidential campaign.

I'm really getting annoyed by all the political yapping.

At the setting last night, that was out of place. It should be a cultural celebration that is inclusive. Injecting politics is divisive.

Obama's role was president, not candidate. I'm sure B.B. King could have relayed his comments privately to Obama.

I'm so tired of paying for Obama's reelection campaign.

Yeah, and I love BB King's music. He knows how to suck up though. He's got what 15 kids from I don't remember how many women; BB really isn't that good of a role model.

15 kids?

Sounds like Obama's dad.
