This was a BIG night for Rick Santorum.

ORIGINAL STORY ...
Rick Santorum has won the Alabama Republican presidential primary, Fox News projects, and is holding onto a narrow lead in Mississippi where the race is still too close to call.
The victory in Alabama is a major boost for Santorum, a state in which he was vastly outspent by Mitt Romney.
"We did it again," Santorum told a cheering crowd in Louisiana Tuesday night.
This is a boost for Santorum. The race is not over.
While Newt Gingrich was gracious in his congratulations for Santorum, he took a shot at Mitt Romney:
"If you're the frontrunner and you keep coming in third, you're not much of a frontrunner."
Romney holds on to a substantial lead in the delegate count, but there is obviously a great deal of dissatisfaction with him.
Romney may yet manage to seal the deal, but the notion that he's inevitable is a media construction.
