NBC Editgate Producer Fired

Thank you, Conservative New Media, for exposing the Leftist media NBC News hacks as unprofessional and deceptive.

From John Sexton, Breitbart, Big Journalism:

The NBC producer responsible for the misleading edit of the George Zimmerman's 911 call has been fired. The producer was reportedly fired Thursday, but the firing did not hit the press until this Friday evening, just before a holiday weekend. NBC News had no comment on the firing.

There was speculation earlier today that Today show producer Jim Bell might have been the person responsible for the edit, which portrayed Zimmerman as a racist, or having a racial motive in shooting Trayvon Martin. Bell did not respond to a question directed at his Twitter account earlier today.

Brian Stelter of The New York Times credits NewsBusters.org for being the first to catch NBC's edit. He provides a link to this NewsBusters post dated March 30. However, the NewsBusters story is actually based on, and links back to, a story published here at Breitbart.com two days earlier. In that story, author Dan Riehl highlighted the edit to the Zimmerman 911 tape as it appeared in print at MSNBC. The MSNBC story was originally published March 21st, six days before the same edit was used in the Today show broadcast.

Yesterday, a Reuters story credited both Breitbart.com and NewsBusters for bringing the problem to the attention of NBC executives.

So the New York Times reports the firing of the NBC producer responsible for doctoring the George Zimmerman 911 call on Friday evening. And not just any Friday evening, but the Friday of a holiday weekend, Passover and Easter.

This timing will not help NBC's seriously compromised credibility. Do the NBC Leftists think no one will notice? Is it their hope that people won't find out?

NBC has a problem. The news operation should want to shout about the firing in an attempt to restore its integrity. But, NBC, White House mouthpiece, doesn't want to do anything that suggests the identification of Zimmerman as a raving racist is untrue.

Obviously, NBC chose to keep the "Zimmerman is a racist" story alive and tried to bury its firing of the producer.

NBC News is such a mess.

Since reading this on Breitbart.com, Last night I was searching the internet for reports of this firing by the MSM. Not a whimper. And no mention again today. Surprising? I think not. If everyone would put "Jim Bell, NBC producer fired editing Zimmerman 911 call" we could get it to at least be posted as 'trending'.

Shades of Dan Rather, who based his "Bush went AWOL" hoax on forged documents. And insisted that the story was real even if the evidence was all fake.
