Apparently, Tom Barrett has latched on to the "Civil War" thing for his campaign.

It's the theme of his first TV ad.

Hey, Tom?

Have you noticed that there is a war of sorts in YOUR city?

There's a lot of violence, armed robberies and stabbings and shootings and murders. Babies are being smothered to death.

Isn't it time YOU do something to put an end to that?

You talk about the loss of jobs in Wisconsin. Care to discuss the loss of jobs in Milwaukee under YOUR watch?

I didn't think so.

I think it's time for YOU to do something, anything, to really improve YOUR city. An idiotic streetcar won't help. YOUR city is a mess. Have you noticed its sad decline since YOU took office?

Want to take responsibility for that? No?
