White House: Summer Jobs

The White House has a summer jobs plan to combat the record unemployment faced by young people: Get Jimmy Fallon to make a video talking about his first summer job.

The White House tweets:

This program must be cool because Obama is cool because he slow jammed the news when he appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, which is very cool.

Is there anything Fallon won't do for Obama, the preezy?

This "new call-to-action for businesses, non-profits, and government to provide pathways to employment for low-income and disconnected youth in the summer of 2012" isn't meant to assist all young people looking for work.

What about middle-income kids? They need summer work, too.

What about kids who aren't "disconnected"?

What's meant by "disconnected" anyway? Too vague.

The only real pathway to employment for all Americans is a robust economy with private sector growth.

Obama's summer jobs website is sort of nice for the targeted demographic, but it's not nearly enough.

Unemployment is a serious problem for college graduates. Where's the website for out-of-work new grads?
