Phelps, Franklin, Ledecky: GOLD

It's a GOLD rush by the American swimmers today.

Missy Franklin won GOLD in the 200m Backstroke, setting a world record. Elizabeth Beisel picked up the BRONZE.

Michael Phelps won GOLD in the 100m Butterfly. In the last individual swim of his career, Phelps won his third straight GOLD in the event. It was his 21st Olympic medal, his 17th GOLD.

The guy's pretty good.

There was more GOLD for Team USA.

Katie Ledecky won GOLD in the 800m Freestyle.

In the 50m Freestyle, GOLD medalist Cullen Jones picked up the SILVER.

Wow.

What a day at the pool!
