Afghanistan Insider Attacks

What the hell are we doing in Afghanistan?

Obama's war is accomplishing nothing other than getting Americans killed.

On Sunday, there was yet another insider attack.

Are Americans paying attention to what's going on in Afghanistan?

Is Obama paying attention?

Obama, bring our troops home NOW!

An Afghan police officer turned his gun on NATO troops at a remote checkpoint in the south of the country before dawn Sunday, killing four American troops, according to Afghan and international officials.

It was the third attack by Afghan forces or insurgents disguised in military uniforms against international forces in as many days, killing eight troops in all.

Recent months have seen a string of such insider attacks by Afghan forces against their international counterparts. The killings have imperiled the military partnership between Kabul and NATO, a working relationship that is key to the handover of security responsibilities to Afghan forces as international troops draw down.

I want Obama to address this.

It's an outrage.

But what gets attention? Mitt Romney's dog on the roof of his car THIRTY YEARS AGO. It's insane.

Where's the apology from Afghan President Hamid Karzai for the deaths of 50 coalition forces as a result of insider attacks?

Oh, that's right. Karzai won't express regret or condemn their deaths. He's too busy demanding that we apologize.

From the New York Times:

Two of the most contentious issues dividing the United States and President Hamid Karzai’s administration re-emerged as the Afghan leader condemned American-led forces for killing eight women in airstrikes on Sunday and denounced his American allies for continuing to hold hundreds of Afghan prisoners.

After the coalition initially said that it needed time to investigate Afghan reports of the deaths, by evening it confirmed that the civilians had died in airstrikes launched early Sunday in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan. It said the strikes were carried out “solely with the intent of countering known insurgents,” and offered its sympathies to the families of those slain. It did not give a number of dead; Afghan officials said eight women who were out collecting firewood had died.

While Mr. Karzai’s condemnation was likely to rankle some Western officials, it was in keeping with how he has responded to the killing of Afghan bystanders by both coalition forces and the Taliban, which is responsible for the vast majority of civilian deaths in Afghanistan. Instead, the presidential palace reserved its strongest language for the continued detention of some 600 Afghans at what was once the main American prison here. Mr. Karzai’s office said in a statement that keeping the prisoners was a “serious breach” and a “serious violation” of a deal struck this year, under which the United States agreed to transfer control of the prison to Afghan authorities on Sept. 9.

Adding to Obama's mess in Afghanistan, there are now alleged "film" protests in Kabul, too.
More than 1,000 people in the Afghan capital Kabul are taking part in an angry demonstration against a film mocking Islam which has given rise to protests around the world.

The demonstration is close to US and Nato installations in Kabul.

The Kabul police chief said he had been injured by a rock thrown by a protester. Other protesters fired guns, and police vehicles were set alight.

Lebanese militant group Hezbollah has called for a week of protests.

The leader of the influential Shia Muslim group, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, said the world needed to know Muslims "would not be silent in the face of this insult".

I think it's time the world knows that Americans will not bow down and apologize to savages, Islamists.

Insulted?

Too damn bad.

It's called free speech. Deal with it - PEACEFULLY.

In Kabul, black smoke from burning tyres streamed into the air, and shopkeepers hurriedly locked up and went home, as the protest gathered pace, reports said.

Protesters shouted "Death to America!" and "Death to those people who have made a film and insulted our Prophet!", reported news agency Associated Press.

Maybe American citizens should take to the streets and hurl rocks at the embassies of nations protesting the U.S., shouting "Death to America!"

Maybe we should tear down their flags, burn them, and raise our flag.

Maybe we should chant "Death to Afghanistan!" "Death to Egypt!" "Death to Libya!" "Death to [fill in the blank]!

Can you imagine Americans murdering foreign ambassadors in our country? It's unthinkable.

How would the world react if we behaved like the protesters in Kabul, and the twenty countries staging protests to let us know that they HATE us?

Our military men and women should not be in Afghanistan. We should not risk the precious lives of our troops for these people and the ungrateful Karzai.

"Death to America"? Why are we there???

We should get out now.

It sickens me that the Leftists are silent about these insider attacks. When President Bush was in office, every military death was splashed as big news.

I don't hear the Dems complaining about all the Americans killed in these insider attacks.

Will David Letterman ask Obama about his messed up war in Afghanistan? Will Letterman demand to know why we take this crap from Karzai and the Afghan people as our fellow Americans are dying over there?

No chance.

Obama shouldn't be yucking it up on Letterman while there's a full-blown crisis at hand.

INAPPROPRIATE.

Obama needs to be held accountable for his Afghanistan policy, his war, his failed, fouled up war.

It will be like Afghanistan doesn't even exist until after the election.

I do hope the adults are in charge pretty soon.

I never thought I'd say this: I miss Helen Thomas. I bet she would badger Carney.

Check out those advertising numbers for newspapers. Lots of those media lefties will be looking for a job soon. They'll be getting a lesson in economics, personal-like.

I wonder if being out of work will make them turn on Obama.

Not right away - too brainwashed. They've most likely started believing their own lies.
