Obama Phone (Video)

UPDATE: SEIU paid anti-Romney protesters $11/hour in Ohio [VIDEO]

So it's come to this.

Americans are supporting Obama because he's handing out phones.

The woman in this video, protesting outside a Mitt Romney rally in Bedford, Ohio, near Cleveland, says minorities in Cleveland need to vote for Obama because he gives them phones.

Transcript

INTERVIEWER: You've got an Obama phone?

WOMAN: Yes, everybody in Cleveland, low minority, got Obama phone. Keep Obama in president, you know. He gave us a phone...

INTERVIEWER: He gave you a phone? How did he give you a phone?

WOMAN: You sign up if you on food stamps, you on Social Security, you got low income, you disability...

INTERVIEWER: I have a question. OK, what's wrong with Romney again?

WOMAN: Romney-- He sucks! Bad!
Truly sad.

It's the "Obama stash" mentality.

Note to woman in the video: I, the taxpayer, gave you the phone, not Obama.

Obama claims he doesn't see any victims. He said it in Milwaukee. He's saying it in Ohio.

Open your eyes, Obama! Listen!

This is Obama's America.

He, OBAMA, is the victimizer, creating a nation of victims.

Frankly, I don't like it. Every American should be troubled by this dependency.

We're better than this.

This woman shouldn't be satisfied with a phone and Obama's other "perks" of dependency.

We need more than phones. We need jobs and a robust economy, not a massive centralized government "caring" for the people.

Yeah. We are pretty much screwed. While I understand many Obama supporters have better reasons to vote for him, there are too many reliant on handouts. Obamas policies encourage this. They have no apparent desire to better themselves or make things better for the next generation. Again, it's not a high percent (not the 47% that Romney talked about), but too many....maybe 20%? My kids will inherit all of our debt, with fewer and fewer "achievers" to help support the freeloaders. Depressing.

Huh. You mean that program started in 2008 under Bush? First suggested by Reagan? That program?

She may have received a free phone, but she's mistaken who provided it. It's a Bush program: http://www.factcheck.org/2009/10/the-obama-phone/

That's OK. We'll take the votes however we can get them. Thanks George.

And Jim, no "president" gave the woman a phone.

Taxpayers (that would be me) gave her the phone.

The Americans bearing the tax burden pay the country's bills, whether it was a Democrat or Republican administration that created an entitlement program.

The Lifeline Program didn't start with President Bush.

FactCheck needs a fact check.

The Telecommunications Act of 1996 "enhanced" the program that began in 1984, under President Reagan.

The phone program isn't the issue. The fact that this woman thinks Obama is providing for her needs is the problem. Her mindset, being a dependent, is a growing problem in this country.

Certainly, President Reagan wasn't pushing an entitlement mentality. But the program's beginnings does blow holes in the Left's argument that Republicans are heartless, selfish rich guys who don't care about the poor.

Mary, that's beneath you. Just admit you should have looked further into the issue before posting, rather than regurgitating the right wind talking point of the day. Can you admit you were WRONG? Come on. We're waiting. Or should we expect the whole post to amazingly disappear?

The issue is not who started the program. The issue is that millions of people are becoming more and more dependent on the government and less and less self reliant. It is not a republican or democrat issue (although yes, people that are highly dependent on government for their subsistence skew democrat AND Obamas policies push people towards government dependence).

When there is enough folks like this woman vote that vote for the reasons she does, the country is done for. It's really that simple.

Maybe then the asinine finger pointing will finally stop.

Jim-

When has a post I've written "amazingly" disappeared? Cite an example. I don't intend to change it or delete it.

Read what I wrote. What's wrong? I merely summarize what the woman says.

The point of my post is the woman in the video believes people should vote for Obama because he will provide. It's a dependency thing. I find that to be a terrible trend and very troubling. When asked, she can't articulate what she finds wrong with Romney other than "Romney sucks! Bad!"

I didn't get into the specifics of the phone program at all. The post wasn't about the phone per se. Apparently, I failed at conveying that.

(On another note, I'd like to know your thoughts on Obama's blatant and sustained lies about the terrorist attack in Libya.)
