Radcliffe Haughton

More killing on a Sunday morning in a Milwaukee suburb...

On Sunday, August 5, 2012, there was a mass shooting at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek, with the shooter killing six before killing himself.

This morning, the Azana Salon & Spa in Brookfield was the site of a mass shooting.

According to TMJ4, Radcliffe Haughton killed his wife, Zina Haughton, a stylist at the salon. They were estranged, and she had filed a restraining order against her husband.

Brookfield Police Chief Daniel Tushaus says all three people killed in the shooting are women. The three women along with the gunman were found dead inside the salon. Tushaus wasn't able to confirm the identify of those three women. TODAY'S TMJ4 reports that the gunman's wife, Zina Haughton, is among the dead.

Brookfield Fire Chief Charlie Myers says they transported four women, aged: 22, 30, 32 and 40 to Froedtert Hospital for gunshot wounds. Hospital officials say those four women are expected to survive.

Brookfield police believe the gunman took his own his own life.

Tushaus says the reason it took so long to determine that the gunman died was because the salon was filled with smoke when they arrived, and authorities expected an armed encounter with the suspect. Tushaus says authorities think the suspect also started a small fire in a hallway.

Tushaus says that it is believed that the shooting stemmed from a domestic violence incident. He says that on October 4, 2012 there was an incident involving the suspect and his wife at the salon. Witnesses say the suspect slashed the tires of his wife's vehicle. On October 8, the suspect's wife requested and received a temporary restraining order against the suspect. On October 11, the suspect was served with the restraining order. On October 18, a Milwaukee County court issued a four-year restraining order against the suspect.
Brookfield Patch has information on Radcliffe Haughton, the 45-year-old shooting suspect.
There is a Google Plus account under Haughton's name featuring a picture of someone who resembles Haughton holding a gun-like object toward the camera.

Brookfield Patch has photos of Haughton from his Facebook page, as well as information provided by Haughton's father, Radcliffe Haughton Sr.

FOX6 News has more on Haughton's background.
FOX6 News learned Haughton most recently was a student at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). He was getting ready to apply to the nursing program. Fellow students and Haughton’s anatomy professor, Geoffrey Lee, noticed about two to three weeks ago, something wasn’t quite right with the normally fun-loving, loud and friendly student who never missed a day of class.

...The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department confirmed on October 8th, Haughton was served a summons for a restraining order.

On October 8th, Haughton posted the following to his Facebook page: “Need to get out of Wisconsin, help.” On October 9th, he wrote: “Can anyone help get me out of Wisconsin?”

In court on October 18th, Haughton was ordered to turn in his firearms to the Sheriff’s department when he received a four-year “no contact” order.

“He called me on the verge of tears. At that point, I tried to get him some help — to do what we call at MATC a retention alert. But we need to get his okay for that, so I put him in for retention alert. He said it was okay for me to get started,” Prof. Lee said.

Professor Lee was hopeful the school could help Haughton with housing or any other help he needed to get through his personal problems.

...“I think he just felt trapped and he snapped,” Prof. Lee said.
Just wondering--

Has anyone checked Haughton's political leanings?

I'm certain he isn't a Republican or a Tea Party member because we would know that by now.

It's so hard to make sense of something as horrific as this, because it doesn't make any sense.

Committing cold-blooded murder and committing suicide are never answers to problems.

My prayers are with the family and friends of the victims, the dead and the wounded.

It's heartbreaking to think of the pain Radcliffe Haughton has inflicted on his stepdaughter and daughter. They are victims, too, their suffering immeasurable. My prayers are with them.

Get a clue.

Apparently, you didn't pick up the reference to Brian Ross and the Aurora shooting.

I'm commenting on the Leftist media's practices.

Clearly, I extend my heartfelt concern and sympathy to the survivors and the victims' families.
