Joshua Inglett: Walker Withdraws Nomination

Hit the road, Josh!

From the Associated Press:

Gov. Scott Walker has withdrawn the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents nomination of a UW-Platteville student whose name appears on the petition to recall Walker.

Walker spokesman Tom Evenson would not comment Thursday on why Joshua Inglett's nomination was being withdrawn. RightWisconsin.com reported on Wednesday that Inglett's name was on a database of those who signed the petition that led to Walker's recall election last year.

Inglett tells WKOW-TV that he told the governor's office on Wednesday that he signed the petition. Later that day, Inglett says he was told his nomination was being withdrawn.
Brian Fraley and Right Wisconsin brought this story to light.

It's unfortunate that the vetting on Inglett wasn't more thorough. This University of Wisconsin Board of Regents nomination has become unnecessarily messy.

Nonetheless, it was discovered and Inglett admitted that he did indeed sign the recall petition.

Signing that petition is an automatic DQ.

Do you think Obama would nominate anyone to any post who is a Tea Party member, no matter how qualified?

Never.

Inglett doesn't just disagree with Walker on some issues. He wanted him removed from office.

That's kinda big.

We didn't spend millions of dollars and go through a year of hell here in Wisconsin to have Walker nominate recall petition signers to positions with any influence on any policy in any way.

Inglett is out. He never should have been in.

Actions have consequences.

a clear violation of Josh's freedom of speech... but Republicans love to play this game of "you're either with us, or you're against us...and if you're against us, we don't want you". I can't wait to see this scum of a crook out of office.
