Kohl's, Boston Store Open Thanksgiving

No more waiting until midnight. Kohl's and Boston Store are opening at 8:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Boston Store, Younkers and other retail outlets operated by Bon-Ton Stores Inc. are joining the parade of merchants opening at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Bon-Ton announced the kickoff of its holiday shopping season Wednesday. Kohl's Department Stores, JC Penney and Macy's already have said they will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Other major retailers have not yet announced their "Black Friday" hours, but last year Toys R Us, Target, Sears, Walmart, and Kmart all opened at 8 or 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving night.
Thanksgiving is now BLACK THURSDAY.

Shall we give thanks?

This is not a good trend.

But, it's the free market.

If people want to disrupt their celebration of the holiday, it's their choice.

If you prefer not to focus on shopping, don't.

Some people savor Thanksgiving as a time to gather with family and friends and count their blessings. Others want to go to stores, stand in long lines, and count their savings.

It's a choice.
