1 Million Lose Health Plans in California

Listen to the president of the United States:

OBAMA: I know that there are millions of Americans who are content with their health care coverage. They like their plan and, most importantly, they value their relationship with their doctor. They trust you. And that means, no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away, no matter what.

It's all very clear.

Obama said, "NO ONE WILL TAKE IT AWAY, NO MATTER WHAT."

That was a promise.

Health insurer Anthem Blue Cross of California has agreed to a two-month extension of about 104,000 individual policies after failing to give the required 90-day cancellation notice, state Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones announced Tuesday.

The policies had been set to expire on Dec. 31 but will be extended until Feb. 28 for those who choose to re-enroll. Notices informing customers of the extension will be sent out this week, Anthem said.

Jones said the company notified the Department of Insurance that it failed to give enough notice because of a computer glitch and voluntarily offered to extend the policies.

Anthem spokesman Darrel Ng said a subset of individual customers was “inadvertently omitted from the original mailing” notifying them that their policies were being terminated. He declined to say how many Anthem customers were being notified their policies were ending.

More than 1 million cancellation notices have been sent to Californians as the Affordable Care Act begins allowing individuals to buy insurance through exchanges, Jones said.

But Obama said, "NO ONE WILL TAKE IT AWAY, NO MATTER WHAT."

He knew this would happen. ObamaCare was designed to make it happen.

All the Democrats in the House and Senate knew it, and they rammed it down our throats.

The Leftists enabled Obama to dupe the American people.

If only those of us opposed to ObamaCare, the majority of Americans, could be spared. We didn't want it, but we're suffering because of the flat out, persistent lies of Obama and his hacks.

The Democrats have hurt millions of Americans. They are responsible.

It still haunts me that none of this would be happening if Obama had not been reelected. Everything could have been different.

I wonder if those Republicans and Libertarians who chose to sit out the 2012 presidential election feel guilty. They should.
